iCity Solution for eGoverment Services

This challenging project involved the design and development of a iCity, a powerful platform that provides citizens who are away from administrative centers, public information and services to the nearest point to them locally at an affordable and uniform format.
The project also helps the reduction of the costs of Municipalities (by increasing efficiency) through the improvement of services.
The critical Public Administration bottlenecks that the iCity platform tackles, are the following:

• improvement of service processes of the municipalities to citizens and businesses
• creating the necessary infrastructure that improves the quality of services provided by the municipalities
• Replacement of the existing manual systems by the computer.
• reduction of the physical public visits Municipalities
• improvement of the management of electronic files and applications kept by the municipalities, thus reducing the response time
• continuous, uninterrupted and efficient information and communication policies with the municipalities
• improvement of the effective functioning of the Municipalities
• to strengthen democracy through electronic polling of citizens in matters relating to their area
iCity platform included the following key features:

• Management and publication of events hold by the municipalities
• The design and development of the Portal that contains a wealth of information about the history, the operation and the Municipality in general.
• Electronic services through the portal and electronic management of the requests by the municipality employees.
• Operation polls where the visitor is asked to express an opinion by voting on questions raised by the Municipalities.
• Ongoing information regarding the activities of the Municipalities with option of subscription to newsletter.
• e-Forum that enables the visitors of the Portal to participate in online discussions that regard to the Municipalities
• E-payment services thanks to which the citizens can pay their financial obligations to the municipality
